Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is one of history’s most rapidly developing urban centers. It boasts many of the world’s largest, tallest, and most expensive architectural works in the world. The city of Dubai has transformed itself from a humble port city into a sprawling metropolis fueled by immeasurable wealth.
This photo shows “The World Islands,” one of the largest man-made archipelagos with over 300 individual islands and 144 miles of coastline. The World Islands are among Dubai’s most expensive pieces of residential real estate. Each small island sells for $15 million to $50 million each. There was a rumor that Hollywood super-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased the Ethiopia island, but this was later proven false.
